Toby is a sweet goofball that came into our rescue with severe hair loss due to skin infection and flea allergies. He was left behind by his former owners as they packed up and moved away. He waited at the front door for days for his people to come back for him. What he found was one even better! We took him in and his foster mommy immediately fell in love with him and decided she couldn't live without him. Sweet Toby will never again be neglected, living comfortably inside and being loved to no end.
Sweet Sadie came across some unfortunate and sad losses with the passing of her human mommy and her daddy not long after. She came into our rescue through several stops in between from being at a risk of ending up in the shelter, to a home where she didn't get along with another fur sibling.
She is an absolute love bug and has so much love to give and she expects nothing more in return. We are so grateful to have found her the most perfect home for her and her new family. Her new human parents give her endless affection that she so craves and her German Shepherd brother doesn't mind her being the Princess of the house.
This good natured gentleman came into the rescue due to medical issue in his family and they could no longer care for their furbabies. It was a very difficult decision but his mommy wanted what was best for them, and Bentley hit the jackpot! He had been long suffering from a chronic ear infection that caused him to grow tumors in his ears and nearly lost his hearing. We wasted no time to get him fixed up and he was such a trooper through it all.
His new human mommy and aunt immediately fell in love with his photos and very patiently waited until we had the opportunity to meet in person. It was a match made in heaven and he was right at home as soon as we visited. His aunt keeps us posted with how much they love him "He makes our day every day" she recently shared. We could not be happier for such a wonderful match!
This handsome fella was surrendered to a local shelter with a bunch of infections he had been ailing from. We could't let that happen to such a handsome boy who gives the best smiles! He was immediately taken to our caring vet and got him all fixed up with medications, supplements and proper diet. He like many yorkies want to be the alpha dog which his foster furbrother was not going to allow in his house. It was a challenge keeping peace in the house with those two and a very outspoken yorkie sister but all was well worth the wait to his Charlie's perfect home! He is being spoiled rotten, hoarding all the attention without any siblings to have to share with. His new mommy and I shed tears of joy the day he went to his furever home, and we enjoy getting updates of how happy he is!
Happy go lucky Chester was spotted being re-homed (sold) on a Facebook page after being found as a lost dog by someone. With th help of caring volunteers, he was rescued in order to avoid the risk of him turning into the hands of a "flipper" We tried to find his original owners, even met with a few who thought he may be their missing dog. We needed to find him a new furever home when we couldn't find where he came from, and boy did we find him a good one! His new fur-sister didn't know what to think of him when he was first brought to HER house, but it took no time for them to be best buds. He is being loved and spoiled, and even enjoys taking naps snuggled up to his Shih Tzu sister.
Sweet girl Sugar Pie lives up to her name, so sweet and loving! Her elderly human parents had to make a very difficult decision to surrender her to a rescue as she had already been living at a boarding place for over a month as they were hoping for her mommy to get well and return home from the hospital. These loving couple did not have any children, their dogs were their kids. We cried together as they made the difficult decision to trust us to find her a new forever home. We were extra careful in making sure to find her the perfect home as this sweetness suffered from severe allergies to just about everything. She required patience and knowledge with her special condition. As luck would have it, she won the hearts of a loving couple in the medical industry with experience in dogs with allergies! Match made in heaven! She is loved by her human parents and welcomed by her fur brother Oliver.
This cute little peanut sadly came into our rescue due to his human mommy's illness. He was shy and scared, unsure why people around him were packing his mommy's belongings and why a stranger was taking him to an unfamiliar place. Surprisingly, his somber mood immediately changed and he came out of his timid shell as soon as we entered the house of a caring family with a little boy that secretly had been wanting a boy dog brother. This had been a house full of women and girl dogs until Dakota joined the only "man" of the house. Dakota took to his yorkie sisters immediately, one of which is our former rescue Lily. His human brother and Dakota became 2 peas in a pod in no time. Happy tail Dakota!
Toto was found by a good Samaritan and rescued from an unfit home. He was being kept out in the cold in the middle of the winter with inadequate shelter, dirty, unkept, repeatedly used for backyard breeding. Miraculously, his original family that needed to re-home him while receiving aggressive medical treatments found him on our website! They had missed him and wanted him back home with his original family. When Toto was taken back to where he grew up as a puppy, he was in awe! For days, he sat next to his mommy with his paw on her lap adoring her. He and his human parents could not be happier. They are grateful every day that they no longer need to worry about him. Toto lives very happily with his new adopted sister Zoey, another one of our rescue babies. His parents also have become valuable foster parents to our rescue babies.
This sassy little girl and her friend Gracie were found on the side of a country road in Oklahoma. Through many different people and groups involved over the course of the next few days, they came into our rescue. They appear to have been used for breeding at a puppy mill. Thank goodness these two little girls made it unharmed by countless predators out in the middle of nowhere! They have had a rough life, Gracie had a severe infection in her uterus that our vet didn't think she would have made it through another month before it erupted and spread through her bloodstreams. We promised them that they would never experience neglect again and we're keeping to it. Zoey's personality continues to shine through. Her new brother Toto kindly lets her be the Queen Bee of the house, just the way she likes it! We look forward to seeing all the pretty outfits her mommy finds for her. Spoiled little girl!
This feisty old gal and her friend Zoey were found on the side of a country road in Oklahoma. Through many different people and groups involved over the course of the next few days, they came into our rescue. They appears have been used for breeding at a puppy mill. Thank goodness these two little girls made it unharmed by countless predators out in the middle of nowhere! They have had a rough life, Gracie had a severe infection in her uterus that our vet didn't think she would have made it through another month before it erupted and spread through her bloodstreams, her ears had been chewed up by flies, mouth full of rotten teeth... She was found with her hair tangled up against one of her tooth, not enabling her to open her mouth. We promised them that they would never experience neglect again and search very hard to find them both a great home. Gracie enjoys her new family along with her 2 yorkie siblings, Shelby and Dakota who is another one of our rescue babies.
This pint sized peanut with a personality of a lion was an owner surrender to the rescue due to busy lifestyle. He came to us very skinny, demanding of a lot of attention that he had been craving so badly. With the love and care of his foster mommy, he put on the necessary weight very quickly and won over many hearts. He is enjoying his new home where he gets to chase squirrels, receive plenty of attention with someone staying home with him at all times and being the king of the house as the only dog, just as he wanted.
Pee Wee is a spunky, loving elderly gentleman who sadly ended up in one of the local shelters after his human mommy passed away. We couldn't bear to leave him at the shelter as he got passed over for adoptions, so we took him into our foster care until we found him a perfect forever home. He is happy go lucky as long as he has his human to shadow and share his affections with. We were fortunate enough to find him a new human mommy with a heart of gold to call his own. Happy tails sweet old man!
This goofy, silly load of fun was found as a stray, badly emaciated covered with hundreds of fleas head to tail. We're so thankful to have been given to opportunity to save this now energetic boy, bring him to full of life. He is now being spoiled like no other by his new mommy and daddy. We love receiving regular updates on Simon living a very cushy life as the prince of the house!
This very insecure 11 year old was taken into our rescue when the only family he knew his entire life no longer wanted him. He was never allowed to thrive and was extremely unsocialized. The shock of being removed from what he knew as home was traumatic of course. We can't thank his new mommy and daddy enough for having such loving caring heart, opening up their home for Fender to find refuge along with his new fur sisters and brothers. It hasn't been an easy transition for him but he's starting to learn to trust his new family and enjoying running the yard with his sisters. You're in excellent hands Fender, and we love hearing of your continued progress!
Captured as a stray, Annie Oakley survived on her own for unknown period in a neighborhood of Oak Cliff, Dallas. She wasn't sure of people and had spent some time dodging even people who were trying to help her. Luckily, she surrendered when she couldn't run any longer. To our surprise, the moment she realized that we were not going to harm her, her tail has been wagging non stop and constantly showering with kisses. She has found a very loving family with her very own human mommy, daddy, 2 brothers and a fur brother. We're thrilled to have been able to find her a home so fitting, where she will never have to worry about sleeping in fear out on the streets again!
Dixie was a former BYTR who had a loving home for a couple of years. However due to a new arrival of a human baby and hectic work schedule of her human mommy and daddy, she was sadly in search of a new home where she can be the main squeeze! She was very shy, nervous and appeared worried all the time...
She now enjoys her new home being loved to pieces by her human mommy and daddy, and a patient older fur brother who has been teaching her how to relax, wrestle with him and have fun! He even knew to let her win to get her confidence when they wrestle. We're so happy for Dixie's new life. 3rd times a charm, and we know this is her furever!
Meko is a sweet boy who was surrendered by a family that was "too busy" to give him the attention he so longed for. Day after day, they stuck him in a backyard where he often dug his way out of in search of the human companion he was deprived of. Meko's prayers were answered when his new family prayed for a boy just like him to add to their family. They love him to the moon and back and he is sure to return the love and bring them unconditional joy! Happy tails Meko
Lex is a kind gentleman whose human parents couldn't take him along to the assisted living facility they were moving into. He came into BYTR with some medical conditions that he had been neglected with from his previous family. We were sure glad we were able to get him all fixed up and ready for his new mommy who got to welcome him to his new home on New Year's Eve.
Milo is a goofy, stubbon, too smart for his own good little boy. He was surrendered to BYTR because his he never received the stimulation and training he needed. He was left to wander around the neighborhood, and the streets (country road) is no place for a precious handsome boy like Milo to be! We found him a perfect match however. His new mommy and daddy love that he is full of character and never a dull moment. His mommy has been taking the time to teach him things he never knew he would enjoy learning! He and his cat sibling get a kick out of trying to get their older fur sister to play with them. We love getting updated with his progress!
Ziggy is a goofy, happy go lucky, silly little man. He was rescued from a local shelter as he was not adoptable due to severe dental disease. His teeth were rotten to the bone from poor diet and unfortunately lost all but 5 teeth, but his lack of teeth doesn't stop him from playing tug, gnawing on bones or tossing his toys around. Sweet Ziggy has found himself a perfect home with 2 human brothers to play with and a mommy to cuddle with at night! Happy happy tails Ziggy!!
